How far in advance can the registration process for Pre-Kindergarten be made?

The admission and enrollment process can be done up to two years in advance.

What is the step-by-step admission process?

BEAM Registration: Log in to the BEAM application and create the applicant profile.

 

Pre-enrollment confirmation: You will receive an email confirming your pre-registration.

 

Informational Meeting (for Preschool and Kindergarten Applicants): We will schedule a meeting for you to learn about our educational proposal and facilities. On the same day, you will receive instructions on how to proceed with the enrollment and submit the required documentation.

 

Interview: Our team will be in touch to schedule the family interview.
Admissions Committee Evaluation: The committee will review the interview and submitted documents to issue the official response for the process.

 

Seat reservation: In case of admission, you can proceed with the seat reservation process to secure the applicant's enrollment.

What is the academic calendar?

We are Calendar A: our students start classes in January and finish in November.

Are you a bilingual school?

Yes. We implement the Two-Way Immersion model, which promotes a bilingual English and Spanish environment from Pre-kindergarten through 11th grade. This approach strengthens biliteracy, critical thinking, and intercultural understanding.

Upon completion of the program, students present their international IELTS certification, with a minimum required level of B2, and several achieve higher levels such as C1, demonstrating their language proficiency and readiness for international contexts.

Do you have dual degrees?

Dual Diploma Program: International Double Degree

Thanks to our alliance with Académica International Studies (AIS), students of Benedictine College can simultaneously obtain the Colombian High School and the American High School Diploma.

How does the program work?

From Eighth grade, the students take an American curriculum online:

  • Academic load 6 subjects in English (4 mandatory and 2 electives).

  • Dedication Only 3 to 4 hours per week.

  • Flexibility The student chooses electives according to their interest: Engineering, Criminology, Digital Photography, or Psychology.

Do you offer exchange programs abroad?

Yes, we offer different immersion experiences in partnership with Study Abroad, and we currently have four one-month immersions to destinations like England, Canada, and Dubai, as well as a six-month investment in Canada.

Are you a Catholic school?

Yes. We profess Catholicism, as we were founded by the community of Benedictine monks. Our formation is based on the Gospel and Christ-centered values.

We have the accompaniment of the Pastoral process, led by a brother from the Benedictine community, who coordinates activities such as lectio divina, eucharists, spiritual retreats, and other spaces for reflection and inner growth that strengthen the spiritual life of our students.

Are you a co-ed school?

Yes. Although it was initially for boys, since 2014 girls have also been part of our educational community.

Currently, they represent approximately 45% of our student population, thus strengthening a diverse, inclusive, and balanced learning environment.

What are the hours?

For Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten, the hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

From Transitional to Fifth grade, the schedules are from 7:00 AM to 2:45 PM.

From sixth to eleventh grade, hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Do you have extracurricular offerings?

Yes. We have a wide extracurricular offering organized into three areas: sports, arts, and knowledge.

What pedagogical model is the school's proposal based on?

Our developmental pedagogical proposal promotes active, creative, and meaningful learning, preparing students for the challenges of the future. It is based on the guidelines of the Ministry of National Education and on the development of 21st-century skills, integrating innovation, values, and commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals.

It is developed through five cycles: Benedictine Kindergarten (Pre-K and Kindergarten), Beginning (Transition, 1st and 2nd), Elemental (3rd, 4th, and 5th grade), Creative (6th, 7th, and 8th Grade)  y Projective (9th, 10th, and 11th Grade), which accompany each stage of our students' academic and personal growth.
