Inclusion and Diversity Office

At St Mary's Benedictine School, we recognize that there are many ways to learn. Based on this understanding, we create personalized strategies that enhance the educational experience for students who need additional support. Collaboration between families and the school is essential in this process.

What specific actions do we take?

  • We facilitate the curriculum flexibility process following Universal Design for Learning principles.
  • We assist teachers with developing a Personalized and Practical Adaptation Strategy (PIAR in Spanish).
  • We advise parents or guardians on how to effectively support their children's learning process.
  • We offer strategies to improve or strengthen fundamental learning tools for students who require them, including attention, sensory perception, language, memory, motivation, and habituation.

We are committed to inclusive education and addressing the diverse needs of learners.
